1 Dec 2012

On Saturday, 1 Dec 2012, the foundation hosted the Tan Chin Tuan Centennial Concert performed by the Singapore Symphony Children’s Choir held at Cheng Yi Auditorium, Hwa Chong Institution (HCI) to celebrate the festive season and thank our beneficiaries for their service to the community.

571 guests, including the Tan extended family, and 433 beneficiaries from 27 TCTF-supported charities attended the concert. 49 student volunteers comprising of TCTF’s scholars from HCI, ACS Independent, ACJC, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, NAFA and Republic Polytechnic as well as TCTF staff’s friends and family came to help out during the event as well.

The concert was a collaborative effort with the beneficiaries of Tan Chin Tuan Foundation: Hwa Chong Institution as venue partner, Singapore Symphony Children’s Choir as performers and Man Fut Tong Welfare Society assisted with the decorations. After the 50-minute long performance, the guests were invited for tea-time refreshments at the foyer while interacting with our council members and the performers. Everyone certainly had an entertaining and fruitful time that afternoon!
